Two sisters who have been missing for eight decades had no idea each other existed, have reunited for the first time.
Shirley and Freda have a lot to reminisce about when they met for the first time in a nursing facility located in Wyee in the NSW Lake Macquarie region.
“Oh Freda, it’s Shirley, it’s Shirley,” the 81-year-old Shirley told the crowd.
“I have been missing all these these years, dear.
“How beautiful you are, look at you at 93, I’m so blessed to have you as my sister.”
The half-siblings met just six weeks ago when the daughter of Freda Susan found a DNA connection in an ancestry research.
“I couldn’t believe it, I think I had to read it a few times to make sure it was right,” Shirley declared.

Freda was adopted at the age of a newborn while Shirley became the same mother 12 years later.
When they first met they hugged with a big hug.
“Freda, you are a beautiful sister and I love forever and ever,” Shirley declared.
