Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday announced The The Winter Action Plan to the nation’s capital. The plan is based upon which it is based on which the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government plans to cut down on pollution from the city’s air. The AAP government announced an action plan with 21 points to be implemented over the next few months that included emergency measures, such as working at the home (WFH) in offices, as well as artificial rain.
“This year, our theme is ‘Mil Kar Chale, Pradushan Se Lade’,” Rai stated, noting to his AAP administration in the capital city will begin work on the theme starting Wednesday.
In announcing the action plan, Gopal Rai said the air pollution-prone areas of Delhi can be monitored with drones. The monitoring of drones will be carried out in real-time, allowing us to determine the root of the problem that causes the high pollution of the air in these areas.
Delhi Winter Action Program: Measures to reduce pollution
It is expected that the AAP government will use drones to determine the primary source of pollution in the areas of high pollution, and will use anti-smog guns in these regions, with frequency of deployment increasing this year. Government officials will conduct an anti-dust campaign and use road-sweeping equipment throughout Delhi.
“A ban on firecrackers will be implemented this year as well and once the notification is issued, the ban will be fully enforced. GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan) stages will come into effect and 588 teams have been formed to control the open burning of garbage,” Rai stated.

Minister also said that in the event the situation becomes emergency caused by the pollution levels, it is possible to work at home to work and voluntary reduction in private car usage is supported. The odd-even vehicle scheme can also be utilized in the peak season of pollution.
It is also believed that the Delhi administration is in the process of preparing for artificial rains to boost its AQI in the capital city between November 1-15. Diwali and burning stubble contribute to a lot of pollution.
