Eric Roberts extends his condolences to Julia Roberts’ sister Julia Roberts after hearing of her passing.
“The Dark Knight” actor revealed his thoughts on his public feud with co-star and sibling Julia Roberts in a recently published memoir called “Runaway Train,” including an apology to Julia Roberts as reported by People magazine.
Roberts published her memoir entitled, ‘Runaway Train: Or, The Story of My Life So Far,” on Monday. This film earned both Roberts and Voight Oscar and Golden Globe nominations.
According to publication, Eric Roberts from “Dancing with the Stars” Season 33 recounted an “unsafe” upbringing with parents Walter Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus, whom Roberts claimed were dysfunctional people; after their parents separated and later divorced, Eric lived with his father while Julia lived with their mother (who later remarried).

Eric Roberts is now writing to Julia that it would be good if he accepted this public apology for saying something so inane and offensive in front of so many. It would have been irresponsible of him not to apologize at that time.”
Eric Roberts’ addiction to drugs resulted in uneasy relationships with Julia Roberts, 56, and Nancy Motes – with Eric Roberts telling Julia Roberts she was “dangerous to be around me.” However, one of the “biggest consequences” was losing custody rights for Emma Roberts; this caused a break up with Julia Roberts who took sides with Kim Cunningham instead – in his memoir Eric Roberts admits this decision was ultimately right for his child’s wellbeing.
“I expect I will remain Julia’s brother and Emma Roberts’ dad for the remainder of my life,” the author stated to the publication. “My goal is to honor that role with pride and grace, which was one motivation behind writing the book.”

Eric Roberts talked openly and candidly with Still Here Hollywood host and reporter Steve Kmetko during their podcast interview this year about how difficult it is for him to discuss his daughter or sister during their lives. Kmetko asked about their sister and Eric replied by stating, “You’ll have to ask her.”
Roberts expressed her feelings towards both of her sisters in an April 1 episode. Her daughter also cautioned her not to discuss her, yet Roberts still talks about them both despite not supposed to. “I love my sister but can’t discuss her,” Roberts stated in that episode of April.
After being asked who his favorite actors were in a later show, Oscar nominee Daniel Day-Lewis replied “These days I am most inspired by my daughter’s work – it amazes me what an extraordinary career path she’s taken since becoming my daughter! I am so incredibly proud that she has done so well!”
